چکیده
Environmental changes were reconstructed from a multiproxy synthesis of over 30 localities the Isla Grande de Tierra del Fuego and los Estados, southernmost South America. At local scale, results mountain forest gently undulating steppe areas integrated as well those marine environments Beagle Channel Atlantic coasts. regional with published for Andean Extra-Andean Patagonia Antarctic Peninsula. This study focuses on environmental evolution during Late Glacial-Holocene transition, Middle to Holocene transgressive-regressive hemicycle wet-dry oscillations, Medieval Climate Anomaly, Little Ice Age, tephra inputs Patagonian Andes, recent climatic warming. Most paleoenvironmental are related variations in latitudinal position intensity Southern Westerly Winds (SWW) while others associated astronomical or endogenous forcings. strong SWW, greater contribution humidity an increase rainfall gradient create windy arid conditions steppe. weak lower input advection air masses Ocean promoted humid slightly Similar trends observed between terrestrial center south Fuego, Estados Peninsula, Fuegian Patagonia. The paleoclimatic evidence reveal high variability last 10,000 years this sector Hemisphere.

Reconstruction environmental changes of Maharlou Lake in Holocene
Extended Abstract: 1-Introduction There is a direct relationship in evaporative deposit with the changes in the depth of the lake. Therefore?, valuable information is gained regarding the causation of changes in environment over time. Evaporite minerals formation is a natural phenomenon accruing in water-bodies containing deferent mineral Since sulfate is abundant in seawater and saline lakes...

متن کاملDo abiotic differences explain contrasting graminoid functional traits in sagebrush steppe, USA and Patagonian steppe, Argentina?
Previous work in climatically similar sagebrush steppe, USA and Patagonian steppe, Argentina suggested that a more intense evolutionary history of grazing in Patagonia selected for graminoids of lower forage quality, resulting in a plant community more resistant to livestock grazing. Here we consider whether subtle abiotic differences might create greater water or nutrient limitation in Patagon...
متن کاملSedimentological evidence of the level and climate changes of Lake Zeribar in the Holocene
Lakes are very interesting sedimentary environments for the study of ancient climate, changes in sedimentary environments and lake level changes. Lake Zeribar is situated in the Zagros Mountains, Kurdistan, Iran. The main purpose of this research is to examine grain size sediments, geochronology and clay mineralogy accumulated in Zeribar Lake in order to check the water level fluctuations, clim...
